Joel 2:23 "Be glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God, for He has given the early rain for your vindication; He has poured down for you abundant rain, the early and the latter rain, as before."
Did you follow the recent news about Asbury University? On February 8th, at their regularly scheduled chapel service, a group of students began praying and worshipping as was their custom but, this service did not end until February 23! A revival, an amazing stirring of hearts, that was unplanned continued spontaneously until it was forced to stop due to a case of measles. Hearts were moved to repentance, confession, testimony, praise and prayer in a way not seen before. People from all over the nation and many parts of the world came to be a part of such a moving of the spirit.
The book of Acts tells of such an outpouring too. When the people in Jerusalem were convicted of their sinfulness, in crucifying Jesus, they cried out: "what shall we do?" Peter replied in vs. 16, "Repent and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." vs. 39 "The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off --for all whom the Lord our God will call." And He is calling everyone!! Peter was pleading with those he loved, come follow what Jesus has taught us... just believe! Over 5,000 came to join the Jesus movement shortly after that great outpouring on Pentecost . I believe it will happen again! Keep praying!!
